talk107’s Save our Schools campaign backed hundreds of parents and students in Edinburgh who want to save their schools from closure because of cuts by the local council. The axe would have fallen on up to 22 nursery, primary and secondary schools in the capital and Talk107 was at the centre of a campaign to halt the proposals.

The British Transplant Games came to Edinburgh for the first time since 1985 and talk107 were proud to be media partners. Over 600 competitors took part in the Games. We reported live from the opening ceremony in the Ross Band stand, Princes Street Gardens as well as the Fun Run at Ingliston.
